Can anyone identify this PTO(Yellow) and/or the adapter/spacer(aluminum) that bolts it to the GM SM420 tranny? I have the same PTO unit but need to figure out the maker and model #. I am looking for the adapter spacer which allows the angle for the front pto driveline to clear any front crossmembers on its way to the winch. Thanks

I run Toyota PTOs and without a spacer the PTO is just inside the frame rails. Before I invested too much time and energy I would be sure there is enough room for that spacer. Unfortunately the two last posters in the linked thread haven't been on Mud for a while the one going to buy the spacer said it should work but only had pictures from the seller.
Many years ago I bought a couple of SM420. This was around the time when a new adapter to the Toyota one piece transfer case was coming out. Believe this was based on an article in the TT. Danny Warden was the one doing the conversion. I contacted Danny and bought the old adapter. The tailshaft on the old adapter was full length and would allow the use of a Toyota PTO. The tailshaft was worn on the part inside the transmission and would have required a machine shop to build it up and machine it back to spec. I ended up selling the adapter and SM420 to a friend because I didn't have the funds at that time. Not sure what happened to the adapter. The friend pasted away years ago. That would have been the best way to run a PTO. With the PTO further back could probably cleared any crossmember easier.
