hey guys, was hoping some of you out there with the BJ7x's could post some pics of your slider setups, i'm after some ideas for the brackets to the chassis as the exhaust on mine, and most i have seen, runs along the outside of the chassis rail, so traditional chassis clamp cant really be done ? been offered by a mate to make them up cheap, so was just after some ideas,

my cruiser is a BJ71,

cheers,
blair

cant find a photo of the mounts but it hast the pipe on the rh out side of the chassis but i still used the u channel to mount. front was mounted off the cross member bolts

mint a troopy with rear flares i love that look

You could try Cheezy Racing. I've seen there stuff on a GQ but not sure if they make
cruiser stuff. Good quality and solid. Maybe find a mate who can weld:)

wouldnt go them, they are over east and cost the earth, got a guy who can fab it up, was just curious as to how to mount it, oh well

cant find any more photo's (not mine, i just made them for him)

but i used 50 x 50mm angle bolted to the front two bolts of the GB x member then welded bent pipe to support the main rail.

the middle and rear supports are standard U brakets .

it was very close to the exhaust but with 5mm of spacers under the exhaust rubbers it has about 12-15mm of clearance.

Run the exhaust on the inside of the frame rail between the transfer case and the frame rail - don't run it up and over the frame rail - then you can build the sliders properly.

thats what i thought $$$$, didnt want it to be the case though was hoping someone would have a brilliant and bright idea
