@BeachCruzer I would be happy to get some feedback about what specific step was difficult to understand. I did notice that no mention was made of drilling the hole. That is a oversight.

As for video, we are only now starting to do that. The issue is that sales / promotion videos are a lot easier than install videos, but we are slowly starting to move that direction.

I will also see what we can do in terms of more overview photos, We started adding the 3d Model views of the whole part so that it is easier to understand the parts in context. We have not heard a lot of feedback on these in spite of selling hunders of them, but I do agree that there are always room for improvement.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have no dog in this fight but I really struggle with learning and doing things by written instructions, so I'd greatly appreciate your installation instructions in video format. Glad to hear you are working on them. Thanks!

Currently researching 200 info in hopes of buying one and saw this thread.

I love slee products and been one of their customers since day one.

I had their "formed" sliders on my Tundra, and folded them fairly easily in Death Valley on something that shouldnt of been a big deal.

Not sure of the differences between their Tundra and 200 "formed" sliders, but i definitely wont be using them when i pick up a 200

Thanks for asking. Got it figured out. But I would disagree with the assertion that the instructions are detailed. For instance, show me where in the instructions that they mention you have to drill out the holes for the rivnut?

The pictures leave a lot to be desired also. They have to realize most of us are on our backs in a driveway, so closeup shots with very little surrounding evidence can prove tough to orient yourself with.

Just my two cents. I eventually figure out most things but don’t claim to be a mechanic or pro at any of this. My point to @sleeoffroad is that when someone spends $2k plus for slider/protection, you’d think there’d be better teaching/training material to help the average Joe install their products. A simple video covering a few helpful hints would likely save their customers from a lot of frustration.

I should add…these are some sweet a$$ sliders once they’re on.

This comment had me really confused at first, because I know for a fact that the instructions said exactly what and where to drill when I installed mine. But I forgot that the main set of instructions are for the LX only (which, you're correct, does not mention drilling), and for the LC we have to also use a supplementary set of instructions, which includes very detailed info about drilling (but isn't a standalone document without the LX instructions). It was actually kind of confusing having to switch back and forth between the two sets of instructions, and I would bet that they started out as a single document and got split in two - resulting in some of the info inadvertently missing from the LX doc.

Yes, this is the only one i got that shows it.

Look close towards the front, and you will see a big bow, this is AFTER i tried to fix/reform them.

I've been a Slee customer since day one and bashed the living hell out of their 80 and 100 sliders with ZERO issues.

The formed ones just arent the same, and i will be doing something else on my 200 for sliders when i get it

This happened BEFORE the camper and flatbed were added, at the time i bent them, there was just a fiberglass camper shell on it:

Roughly when did you get those Tundra formed sliders? I.e., are they older ones with "standard" A36 steel, or the (somewhat recently) upgraded HSLA steel Cristo mentioned in this thread? Hopefully the former -- since the HSLA is supposed to be stronger.

I’d guess about 5 years ago

Thanks. Since Slee switched 4Q2022, the current ones should legit be 2x stronger. Hopefully would be enough to prevent what happened to yours. 🤞

Most likely yeah.

In fact, mine MIGHT have been what triggered the new material.

When I showed it to them at Cruise Moab, they were immediately talking about how to prevent that.

Awesome customer service all around

I just installed these and I agree the directions could be better, I thought the same thing about the lack of note on the drilling pre rivnut. I needed to do that step near the end of the install to make sure I was placing the rivnut in the correct spot, though I think it was one of the first steps. I am going to risk sounding like a dummy but the m8 bolts vs. the (i think) 3/8 bolts are different colors. I broke out the calibers just to confirm which is which but mentioning the coloring would just make it fool proof.

All this said they are designed wonderfully and I love them. If Slee makes/carries the product you know it's top notch.
