Looking for a ballpark value on a good friends 60. Here's the run down and he doesn't know what he wants to do with it, even thought of scrapping it but I talked him out of that one.

1987 all stock except for Aussie 5 speed installed by Mudrack with a trasfer case rebuild at the same time. CA vehicle that was rust free, spent 4 years in MN and now has surface rust on frame and suspension but no holes or bubbles in the panels, currently parked in CO. Dented left front quarter and valance but we have both of those parts to replace already in hand. Rest of the body is straight. 200K+ on odometer, should be lower than 250. Bad head and possible warped block, basically froze in MN. Wouldn't count on the engine being salvagable but mechanic said can redo head and get it running and go from there, not sure on the bottom end though. New carb on it purchased a few years back.

Will try to get some pics for further evaluation but as of now I told him to get it back from the mechanic and not scrap it.

I think I remember the situation and had a conversation with J., the value is in the 5 speed, if it was used/rebuilt 1500, 2000k if installed new w/ t-case, the rig, depending on location and overall condition 1500 to 2500. Too bad it wasn't closer.. Definitely don't scrap it, if selling for scrap I might consider having it shipped for parts or interested in the tranny/t-case. CO has a lot of cruiser heads so there is a strong market there.

Yeah, I second that. Easiest would be to sell it whole for $2k. 2nd option buy a complete used 2f and drop it in. 3rd option toss the engine and put in a V8. 4th option ROADTRIP! Let's go Kief!

I am two beers away from reenacting the beginning of Dukes of Hazard at any given moment! Hopefully it sells before I get too sick of it.

I'm excited to be working on this now... 64 impala 2 door hardtop 48k original miles. Been garaged all its life and it's absolutely rust free. Even has clear plastic on the seats with the original Upholstery in really good shape. He blew the 327 engine 14 years ago and started building a 350 but had some problems. We got the 350 re-rebuilt by Keller and now I'm dropping it in with the 3 speed column shift Trans and new everything including power steering.
