My dad is thinking about getting a GPS, his main use would be tromping around in the woods looking for old mines and cabins etc. Something with a decent screen for viewing maps, a waypoint or path tracking option, and a very simple interface for a guy that would rather have been born in the early 1800's. Thanks for any help or pointers!!!! :cheers:
 
I would say Garmin, brandwise. Much better overall than Magellan IMHO.

I'm very happy with my year old Venture CX but it has a smallish screen. Middle of the road level.
