So I promised my wife I would let her drive us through the GA Traverse this weekend. It's rare that she is able to get off work on a Saturday and I am about to be sent off for an extended military training (months away from home). Therefore this weekend is very important to her (and I) but upon packing and pre-trip inspecting, I discovered a shredded inner CV boot (passenger side). It's her daily driver and I haven't been methodical about checking them. So the best I could come up with in town was a split reboot kit for a 80-84 GMC. I repacked with new grease, connected the 2 halves, 2 zip ties tightly pulled on the smaller section (top left open bc it wasn't big enough to fit over old boot, and about 3 foot of black gorilla tape. I'm just praying it will get us through the trip so I can properly fix it next week! Hey GA peeps, I might be calling in some road side favors if she doesn't last. Lol Before I leave, I would like to thank everyone that makes posts or responds to posts. I was a complete newbie on LCs until I found this site. You guys are the reason I learned how's to change heater Ts, understand my AHC system (kinda), adjust my AHC, flush my AHC, install aftermarket radio (with Lexus ground problems), replace leather, install heated seats, and get Tech Stream to work! Tonight I thank everyone and for those reasons I am buying a star!
