Chad, that, in my opinion, is awesome!

I wheel with Chad a bit, and he is fun to watch. He reminds me of the guy in Apocolypse Now:

"I love the sound of my rev limiter in the morning!"

It's funny to see people cringe when they see body damage on a $12K 80, but not hardly bat an eye when they see somebody roll a 40 that has waaaaay more than that into it. This is exactly what he bought that thing for, seeing the looks on people's faces when they watch him is worth the price of admission.

Chad, care to give the story on how you got that little ding?

Backing up a snow/ice covered trail trying to pull me off a rock. I decided to go down the more rocky part of the trail and diff fooked a rock and wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Low and behold there was a fallen over tree on the side of the trail that Chad's 80 decided to mate with in the process. All it took is a couple of people shaking my 40 to get it loose off the rock ;p

Yeah, we should have tried that before I backed up.

Oops :flipoff2: Being a college student sucks, can't afford anything but gas (barely). Oh well, driving it is better than modding it :D 600 miles offroad last month. More and more surprised at what this thing can do without lockers and running stock tires... pretty hairy in mud though.

If you can get your hands in there to pull out, with a foot on the tire you can bend it back out. It's probably those weak factory bumper mounts, not the bumper itself, I pull mine out frequently but no plastic ends to I can get a hold on it no matter what.

alky, don't you have a new dent from the mud hole in cullowhee? :)

I have a dent, but I don't know where it came from, and surprisingly it wasn't from the big hole. It's on the PS rear corner right above the taillight and it's about the size of a tennisball.

Passenger side bumper and contact with a boulder on a hill climb in Wellsville, OH about 4 years ago (this was a descent on the same day). I look forward to one day replacing this bumper. I pounded it out and it looks ok (the end cap popped out with ease) but better looking with a little more clearance wouldn't suck.

Before and after. Notice the antenna in the first two pics.

I was just about to say that looks like Flagstaff. I'm a NAU Alum. :)

IH8Mud

Slid into a tree that was bent at such an angle that it didn't touch the slider
Bent the back door enough that it wouldn't close. I had to take the panel off and bend it back out with a muddy stick.

Bent the slider on a different tree.

IH8Ice

Busted through the ice and dropped. The bottom of the hole was deeper than the tires. Broke the slider off that side and caved in the door.

Got almost to the top of a really bad hill and slid backwards really fast. hit the tailgate and broke a lens. Again.

Holy crap!! it broke the slider off???!!!

I did that once, broke through ice, buried my right front tire. Ice was about 4 inches thick. Took a lot of back breaking rock pounding to break the ice so i could be snatched out of the ice hole.

I had broke that one off previously and just welded it back up there. I didn't take it back down and really do it up right.

I promised myself I wasn't going to wheel the 80 hard anymore.

Actually, I said I wasn't going to wheel the 80 at all anymore.

At least I have a donor vehicle for my 55 project now.

So what exactly are you supposed to do in this situation? I was also on a really bad hill a few weeks ago and ended up sliding down it backward about 100ft barely missing a s***load of trees.
