Here’s mine with the matte vinyl on the door strip and back glass. Lc200 door seal replacements

Cleaned well followed by 99% isopropyl alcohol, taped. Put about 6 coats of the Plasti Dip followed by 2 coats of Plasti Dip clear.

Peeling at the bottom edge after 2 months from opening and closing. In retrospect, would not have done it. I don’t like the finish and I think it will peel even worse. I wrapped the chrome on the side trim, and have been much happier with that.

In the future, I may have this professionally painted. Will not Plasti Dip it again.

That is precisely why my LC is currently at a shop having the trim removed, prepped, painted, and replaced. Yes, Plasti is a quick n' easy DIY project, but I've never had lasting success with it on any vehicle.

This looks great! Were the door handles removed or how did you get them?
I took it to a vinyl wrap shop. They removed the handles to get them done. Got the window trim, back trim, handles, and tail light trim done for less than the cost of new black door handles.

I’m the same - not impressed at all with hyperdip…. Peeled in certain areas almost immediately …. And in couple months several were completely gone…. Followed meticulously everything …. Also found that they didn’t supply enough cans to cover ample number of recommended coats…. Order extra if you go this route.

Just got a quote to do it for $3500 - they are crazy.

I've had hyperdip on my vehicle trim for a while now. The last few years are all a blur, but maybe a year and a half and it is still servicable. I wasn't sure what color I wanted to do for my chrome delete, so this let me try it out without a permanent commitment. In my opinion, it is fine for a temporary solution, but it isn't a replacement for paint. I'll eventually remove it and paint, now that I know that I like the anthracite color.

My only chrome left… any suggestions on an easy color match of the strip on the side mirrors?

Just blacked out the door trim and front fog lights, everything below the belt line.
Professionally painted and XPEL ppf was applied to stock parts.

Also replaced the mirror indicators with LEDs with smoked lenses.

Hey new user here. I want to do a chrome delete on my 2014 lx570. Can anyone confirm if the door body molding at the bottom of the doors have holes in them or is it just double sided tape for the 13-15 lx570?

Also I can't paint the "new style" Lexus emblem on the grill since the L is encapsulated. Do the old style 08-12 lx570 front emblem pop right into the grill?

There are holes behind the molding. Tons of info here: Chrome Delete Photos - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/chrome-delete-photos.1236671/

I can't help with your second question.
