Get a TUFFY, you can add the cup holders for the back too. It will swallow a bunch of stuff, locks good, and the cup holders are HUGE.

Personally I think they're cupholders are in dire need of a redesign of the cup retention aspect (ie: needs something better than the neoprene sheet that tears way too easily). Fix that, and Tuffy's cupholders would be perfect.

Hey Tap, what's up with them light up switches? Only switch my factory console had was for the rear heater fan.

They would be air locker switches (you lucky bugger).

I got all you guys beat! The PO installed a "Caddy Buoy" that's intended for use in boats. Keeps the beverage container upright regardless of the vehicle's attitude. You can go up Elephant Hill withoug spilling your beer, I mean soda.

was reading through this post and for those that are looking for a Tuffy like security console try Max-Bilt Jeeps . They sell them for CJ Jeeps but it looks like it will work in FJ's too? Nice thing is they not only have the DIN cutout for a radio or CB but they are fully wired and include switched LEDs on the ext, front and back as well as the interior compartment plus 12v waterproof aux power plug in and (2) 20 amp marine grade aux rocker switches.. Just a thought
