Top brands?

Go to a garage sale being held by a really old couple selling off their crap so they can move to Florida to die. Look for that 60 year old shovel that the handle has been placed three times and the spade twice but it's the same great shovel. Strap that to your truck to look less like the douché that was in the shiny lifted FJ Cruiser with everything shiny and unused next to me at the gas station.

I really like the feel of my Estwing axe.. and I have a half-sized Craftsman digging shovel with a D-handle that's the perfect size/angle to dig sand out from under a vehicle!

get a gerber axe and glock schovel
if you want some nice smaal stuff that wont get stolen of your vehicle

seriously? A shovel and axe has pretty much reached it's design limits a century ago.

mean... but funny :D

Saw a deal on ebay or amazon, i forget its been so long. but it is a metal extendable rod with different attachments such as a shovel, axe, and two others. not too expensive either.

Check out the max ax. There are several on eBay that came off hummers. Less than half price of a new one. They are really more for keeping in the vehicle. Also search for a pioneer kit if you want to mount it on the exterior.

I'm using a good sturdy wood handle axe. I'm getting an interior Land Rover axe mount and mounting it all on the inside of my back hatch. The shovel I'm pretty sure I'm just going to strap down to the bottom of the roof rack.

There's several places to buy it, but it takes some time to find it. These guys say they sell it.

If it doesn't say Overland Axe or Overland Shovel, it won't work in a vehicle. Sorry, that is just the way it is

:)

Not to sound stupid, but your serious? Only specific shovels and axes will fit in these mounts? Thx!
