Hey there everyone..I have been on and off this site for a while now and I just have to say that you all know what your talking about. Great advice and ideas. So thanks for that. Now I have a question..I have a 1991 fj80 with ome j springs and bfg 33x12.5, arb bull bar and some other mods on it. I like the beast and have had it for a few years but now im thinking of my old crusier...1985 fj60 sprung over and locked!! So question is this, how much do you think I should sell my beast for? I know this is a very open question but a ball park figure is good. My 80 has about 168 k on it its white, very very clean and one little minor dent/crack on fender flare..it is pretty damn nice though. Just wondering how much its worth or what would be a good trade straight across for it? Yes thats right, I would trade it for a comp. fj60 with same extras on it. Reason why I want to sell/trade is that I miss the 60 and the true ruggedness of it. Those things champ it through everything. Thanks for any and all input! Chans

Nothing to do with your post..... but,

Got Malamutes?

Gosh, that's a good one. Selling an 80 for a 60. You should be able to get a good amount for your 80 and have extra cash to get into a 60.

Why not look for an HJ60 and go diesel.....

I had two of them..They are the best dogs ever! I miss them tons.

Mine are stubborn and brainless, but big teddy bears. Got them from a shelter. I wish I had them as puppies, as they are very difficult to train as adults.

I wish i could go with the hj but no luck here in california....very very hard to find one and even if i did, yikes!! price is a bit to much for me! I would love to have one though..as for selling my 80, I would rather just trade it straight across to another cruiser head like myself..reason why is the wife cant say much about that one..She has put a stop to my addiction of buying cruisers...on the 5th one as I type this..so if I trade then there is almost no money coming out of my pocket (or hers) so its all good. But man I cant wait to get another 60!! As for the malamute thing..yes, they are the most hard headed dog there is.. I got both of mine from wakon kennels as pups, so they went to training and all so werent that bad..but, they always had a mind of their own and if they wanted to do something..like wonder off in the woods for days on in, then they would!! bastards!! lol.

I switched from an 80 to a 60 (well, had a Patrol in between to be truthful) It was a good decision - I put a load of £ in the bank and still have a nice cruiser.

Jim,

Where did you find a "Patrol" ???

I didn't know there were over here on this continent. My heart is for Cruisers but I gotta tell ya' ... that Patrol is one nice sweet rig.

Had a stock 62 and driven an 80 b4. If you're gonna use it for daily driving and you're gonna keep the 60 stock, I say stick with the 80. Must admit tho, the 60 series have much more character.
