So it looks like I might have swapped my FJ73 for a partially completed FJ40 project.
The 40 isn't licences and needs a bit of work, but, it's a 40 and comes with a lot of parts such as soft top with full door frames, second set of doors to cut down, second set of rear doors, old style headlight surround and bonnet etc etc.
It still needs some work to licence it but the guy I'm swapping it with isn't too keen on the 32x11.5 R15 tyres on my FJ73 and wants to swap the 31x10.5s on the shorty.
My question is; will the 32x11.5s fit on the shorty without a lift?

It depends on how old the springs are on the 40? if they are OME (Old Man Emu) springs then they are a standard 2" lift anyway and the wheels should clear, but if the springs are 20 years old they would have dropped a little?

As it stands.

They should fit.

Soooo, feel like I'm talking to myself here.
Does anyone know the height from the ground to bottom of the chassis rail on a standard 1983 cruiser?
Also, need some brake hoses and seatbelts, any good sources in Oz?

Looks like a good project you have their, I bought new aftermacket (non oem) seat belts for my 40 that were for a 70 series, cost about 160 or so each new but worth it to me as I know they work. I got them form AllFourX4 Kotara NSW.

Man I wish I had your weather! It's looking great. Are you spray bombing?
