Doing a SOA on a FJ60. Question is do I want short or long Add A Leafs? I heard the long were better, but I may want to build bumpers for it later, so the short would support more weight right? or no? Thanks

Oh, would have have sagging issues if I beefed up the bumpers using the Add A Leafs Long?

Thanks just in time to order my Add A Leafs while I have the time

:)... Make sure to use quality c-clamps when taking/assembling your spring packs!

What, did you borrow the HF "leaf spring" holders from your neighbor that he won at the meeting and have a bad experience?:hillbilly: Just teasin'

hhahaha.... this is how my old budget c-clamp ended a few years ago when I was adding aals to my old spring packs.. I keep in my photobucket account just for this reason. :)

The shorties suck. I have an old Rancho set that you can have free of charge...you'd be doing me a favor.

Not knowing any better, I added short add a leafs to my 60 to fix a leaning problem. It was about 1.5 months later I developed a leak under my vehicle, it was diesel! The add a leafs were so stiff that after passing a bumpy spot in the road everyday for the 1.5 months, my fuel tank had bounced off of its cross support so many times that it had actually developed a hole. So in short, stay a long way away from the shor add a leafs; they cause more trouble than they are worth.

I ordered the Longs, thanks for the heads up!!!!!!!

What do you need clamps for? Just be quick on your feet and point them away from you :hillbilly:

I have never seen a C-clamp do that? get um @ the dollar store?

when releasing the nut on the spring packs... there is more force there than you think, use two clamps and "walk" the pressure off the springs.
