Possible common occurrence in Nolen's realm ...

Drove the FZJ70 to lunch today because friends were eager to see it. While we were at lunch, where I was seated I had a birds eye view of the 70 in the parking lot. With only a couple of exceptions, everyone (including the police) stopped to check the truck over before coming in for BBQ. Several appeared to take a host of pictures as the checked it in detail. However with all that attention, I was surprised no one left there contact info or a business card under one of the wipers. :hmm:

It might be interesting to see if there are trends in reactions to the FZJ70.

Second only to my FJ45

I'm getting ShortE sorted out to put up for sale. I have other Saudi trucks inbound I need to pay for and enjoy a while like I did this one.

My list of goofy stuff I need to fix.

The clutch springs were worn. Done.

The speedometer cable would make loud noises when it was cold so I bought a Delta adapter that shoots grease into it to shut it up.

That did not work. The tip blew apart under the pressure. Luckily I had a cable here in case the grease didn't.

Lastly, my fuel gauge went out. The reserve light works so I assumed the sweep died.

Well s***, that did not fix it. s*** job because I had to remove the Dobinsons drawers to swap out the sender

I sent a message to Yemen and he had a new gauge. A mere $350 shipped.

I need to give it a deep clean and add up all the money I have in it.

How did the clutch springs behave (misbehave) that indicated that they needed to be replaced?

Ours has displayed an odd tendency for the clutch pedal to remain partially down like the clutch master and/or slave are developing issues, but I have never encountered a pedal like this one before. So could there be similarities to what you have encountered ...

It would do that. My master and slave are good so I'm thinking weak springs. New ones feel nice and tight
