I just installed the slee short bus and badlands 12k winch.

Wanted to add some extremely bright lights....obviously would not be used during normally driving.

But any recommendations....the price ranges from 50-1200..... Do I just want the ones with the highest lumens??

I am not looking at buying the best quality, just a cheap light, that will get the job done....brand doesn't matter to me.

We sell Lifetime LED and have a couple of options at 21.5" widths. Lifetime gives a lifetime warranty on the LED bulbs and against manufacturer defect. That includes water intrusion. Prices are around $250 and this size fits nicely on the front bumper of our FJ Cruiser. We are also offering 10% off this week. The coupon code is "Lifetime10". Just go to www.SoutheastOverland.com, enter our Web Store, and browse around. I'll also be in the shop tomorrow from 10-5 if you want to call and ask any questions. I love the one we have mounted on our FJ Cruiser.

We keep a good many Lifetime products in stock in our physical store front, and can ship anything to you from the warehouse. We have been very very please with what is kept in stock at the warehouse too - haven't had a problem so far getting anything we need.

We also sell Rigid, and would be happy to sell you one of those, but the prices are a good bit more. They are very nice, but pricier.

Thanks Steve, for the info , and David for the email.

SouthEast Overland and I (ELS) both sell LED light bars on IH8MUD. It all comes down to your preference, budget, and what we have to offer.

The Slee largest LED Light bar I have seen on a Slee Shortbus is a 14". It fits snugly in the bumper face. This is SanDiegoCruiser's Slee bumper with the ELS 14" light bar. Which Slee bumper do you have? 80 or 100?

Would a 12-14" LED put out as much light as a couple of round halogens?

I ended up adding another set of hi-beams H5001.

This is the "inexpensive" route and was told will be much brighter than other lights at this price point.

Bulbs are about 12.00 bucks a piece, housing about 15.00, I bought a "heavy duty" wiring harness for about 90.00 but I think mine is overkill and could have bought something cheaper.

I don't know the answer to your question, but was told the light output from these would be far great than "Daylighters" and other lights at this price.

I recently upgraded to HIRs low & high beam. Significant improvement, but is still like some more light. Planned on Hella 4000 or similar, but I like the look of the 12" LED bar across the top of my Shortbus bumper.

I also have the HIR's....like u said, big improvement..the halogens I installed make it even better....I am sure an LED bar would be even better....I am jealous.

Depends on the output of the bar and rounds. Many halogen rounds don't publicize their output in lumens.

For comparison purposes.

Our Lifetime LED rounds go up to 1800 lumens each for 4600 lumens per pair. Cost would be $118 for the pair or $2.57 per 100 lumens.

A 13.5" double stack bar for $179 puts out 4300 lumens for $4.16 per 100 lumens. You get more choices in patterns though over the rounds.

A 10" single stack bar for $149 puts out 4500 lumens for $3.31 per 100 lumens. You get more choices in patterns though over the rounds also.

I just put light force 240's on my short bus here's how they look!

they are bright as s*** too, i need to get some scatter lens' for them though, but i got these for a little less than 300 shiped to my door which i thought was a prett good deal. Cheapest i found on the net!

Wow, those are some big ol' pigs!

Honestly I would pass on the halogen Hella 4000's. I have an upgraded Slee wiring harness and the HIR's and my 4000's barely do anything over the high beams. I was originally going to go the 55W HID route, but now I am leaning towards a 20-30 inch LED light bar or something similar.
