Ah, branch lifters. I have one of those too. I stick my arm out the window and lift the branch.

As for the village people, don't they say "har, bend over you bad boy"?

the holes are for branch lifters.... at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

you know, I would have gone with chrome, but it seemed like that's something they'd do on the short-bus-riding denizens of another website... you know, the ones that like to dress up like the village people and say 'har'

'68 Camaro? No thanks. How about a '69 Corvette convertible?

My 40 is a nice rattle can green. My garage worked just fine for that high dollar paint job.

Hmmmm... you know, you're the second person that's all excited that I'm looking at shop heat and by extension able to paint cars... next you're going to tell me that you've got a 68 Camaro that needs painting too.... the answer is no I still hate bodywork.

When I lived in Victorville I had a Honda Accord. One night my wife picked me up from the base and drove me out on a deserted road. We ended up making a big tush dent in the hood and quarter panel. I never had the heart to have it fixed. Didn't tell the next owner how it happened either. :)

Corvettes are easier because they rarely have door dings. Tush prints in the hood? yes... but no door dings.

two feet and tush

trust me, we know. My cousin is a pretty well-regarded auto painter in California (murals, lace, that kind of stuff) and you should hear him whenever he sees a picture of some lovely on a car.... to say he's not impressed would be an understatement - I figure it's their car, if they want dents - have at it - not him. He spent the time making it mirror smooth and it's his paint job they're ruining.

Got my new 1 1/8" CPP brake master from Summit. Wouldn't you know I ordered the wrong one. Instead of 3/8-24 fittings it has the 1/2 and 9/16. I went to the local auto store and bought adapters. One fit perfect and the other one is 1/8" too shallow. Drilled out that hole in the master (wonder if Summit would take it back?). Now the fitting reaches deep enough. Tomorrow comes the fun. Did I ever mention I hate bleeding brakes? Maybe this time I will dislodge that stupid hidden air bubble.

Actually I was wondering if it could be the fronts. I wonder if there is a trick to bleeding those multi piston calipers?

1 1/8" baby! Can you say "Got Brakes"? Wow what a difference over the 1". Plus this time I spent extra care bench bleeding it. Nice firm pedal. Turns out I didn't even get air in the lines when I swapped it. Very short brake pedal throw, but wow does it work nicely.
