hi i have a 65 fj40 3 speed and i wanted to know if i could modify my transfer case shift guard so i can select 2wd low

thanks in advance :)

Nope, many have done so. Just remember you are delivering a lot of torque to just one axle, so go easy on the throttle.

Get back to work on your rig, slacker;)

Hey now ! Just cause your done with your rig is no reason to harass us folks that are slackers....

Oh wait :whoops: ....

Sorry going back to work now....

ok a better question can i damage my transfer by modifying my shift guard for 2wd low:confused::confused::confused:

As was stated no it won't damage the t-case if used with caution.
Why do you want to do this mod?

thanks for the advice and the reason for the mod is so ican teach my other half to drive it without making it harder to steer while still having low range so it is hard to stall:cheers:

Good plan. Also, just don't lock the front hubs, and select low range. So, your tcase is in low range 4x4, but the front wheels aren't engaged so you are in 2WD low. Cheers!
