sheet metal fitment???...will this work??

I purchased a 71 FJ40 with the original front end sheetmetal on it. I was wondering if the grill/upper aprons and hood from a 79 FJ40 would work on the 71? I'm only doing it temporarily while I strip/paint etc. the 71 sheetmetal, but still want to enjoy driving the 40. It's FINALLY starting to warm up around here!!!

I've used later 70's sheet metal on earlier 70's rigs, but have always had to oval some mounting holes---push-n-shove alignment!!!

If by grill, you mean the front bib, yes will work. However the bezel from the 71 will not fit. You need to use a square bezel on a 79 bib
