Hey everyone. I wanted to post here in case anyone wants a beat up locked 80 as a parts rig or project for $4500.
Local group knows her well. Not a straight panel on her, lifters tick tick tick like a timebomb, bottom end glued together with JB Weld (had a crack starting at the freeze plug on driver side), exhaust has no cats, and a spot that needs to be welded, so she's noisy, but she climbs like a goat!
I'm going through a job change and need the money, and just haven't dedicated the time to keeping her in good shape like I used to. Basically selling for the cost of locking axles and deeply discounted 4x4 labs rear bumper (it needs sandblasted and repainted).
Other details: 863J heavy OME lift with coil spacers (about 4" lift), DOM rear lower control arms with stainless rod in the center (I was the guinea pig to test these when Kelly developed them years ago), fox 2.0 shocks (driver rear leaking), adjustable track bar and panhard bar, castor correction plates, rebuilt power steering gear, good PS pump, snorkel, heavy duty skid plates (1/4" steel I believe), Camaro SS front seats on brackets (SO much better for bigger guys), one of the locker actuators is newer, I believe it's the front (last 3 or 4 years), ABS removed, Nice HAM radio set up with main unit tucked high up under dash and remote head unit on center console and external speaker mounted, keyed lock box in center console for whatever you want to secure.
If I were keeping her, I'd do the following to get it at least trail worthy:
Full axle rebuilds
Prob a rear pinion seal (it looks to have been leaking since it has been sitting)
Oil pressure sending unit (sometimes reads, sometimes doesn't)
Needs a battery to move right now
New tires, driver side tires wont hold air very long, Really needs a full new set (thats why the 2x4s are under the axles - apt complex doesnt like beat up trucks on flat tires sitting around)
Okie dokie, tried to be fully transparent. She's filthy right now, but man she has been one of the most capable rigs for a long time. Planning on posting to Marketplace and Mud in the next day or so for $4500, as I think thats really fair for parts.
