I was installing a light bar on my FJ today and stupidly, I chose to use a drill to get through the weather seal to the cabin to run the cable to the switch. In the process I managed to get the drill bit on a light blue and white wire (some research has me thinking its transmission related) on the main harness passing through that weather seal, thankfully, that was the only wire that was wrapped around the drill bit. Could use some help here on people's suggestions on next steps, do I open it up and try to patch it? Buy a whole new harness for $300?

I know how dumb using a drill was, I could really use the expertise of the community on what to do next. Thank you in advance

just repair the one wire and check the surrounding wires in the harness to make sure that nothing else got damaged. and when you repair it you will want to add a small length of wire to make it easier to repair, you wont have to stretch the harness to make the connection

Thanks fort he responses, I did quite a bit more damage. I had higgys in Mesa AZ redo the wiring and I'm back on the road... Big thanks to them for getting it fixed
