So the other day I helped my father in law buy a used 2007 Land Cruiser and I took it to the dealership to change the AHC fluid, all the differentials and to repack the front bearings.

Here is what they said, You need new bearing and it will cost 1,300 dollars. I said no they just needs to be repacked. They said no you can't repack these bearings, those are on the old land cruisers. I told them to do nothing and that I would take it elsewhere. I took it to a local shop and they did the work for 300 bucks. In this shop the owner has worked on Toyota's but I am looking for a shop that really knows land cruisers

That being my 200 now has 50,000 miles on it and I am really wanting a good shop that can work on both the 100 and the 200.

So all owners in the Salt Lake Utah area do you have some recommendations on some good shops to work on our land cruiser's???

Thanks

Which bearings did they say needed to be replaced? Front 100 Series bearings are 100% servicable and we offer a very affordalbe kit that features parts from all OE manufactures:

Front Wheel Bearing Kit
Each set comes complete with two wheel bearings, wheel seal, locker washer and hub gasket. One required per side, two per vehicle.
Part# FAWB9807T - $80
Timken Bearings (OEM Toyota Supplier)
(Fits 98'-07' UZJ100 & LX470, also includes thrust washer
Cruiser Outfitters

Any reputable shop could R&R those for you, labor shouldn't be more than say $200-$300? We have plenty of the kits in stock and could give you some great local recommendations that know Cruisers well if you want to go that route.
