What’s the trick to getting a new belt routed around the pullies? The crank pulley is not cooperating. Please don’t say I have remove my skid plates and go from underneath.

Sorry to hear of the troubles, good lighting and visibility can be worth GOLD! Honestly, patience and good tools are your friend here. Make sure the tensioner is able to fully retract and give you maximum slack for the new belt.

I took my intake pipe off and that made all the difference. I was having trouble trying to put enough tension on the pulley and slide the belt on at the same time. With the intake pipe off though you have ALOT more room to work. I also thought I was going to have to take the skid plate off but with the intake pipe off it literally took two minutes.

2240 fits fine
That's: Toyota 90916-02585 for my 2004 LX

Does anyone have any tricks for reinstalling the serpentine belt? I changed out my power steering pump and am having NO luck getting the same belt back on all the pulleys. I have the tensioner locked open and then pulled even a little farther and I cannot get the belt on. I have tried using the tensioner pulley and the fan pulley as the final pulley to stretch it over, but I cannot get the thing on. Is it still very tight even with the tensioner all the way retracted? There is so little room to work there, any tips appreciated.

Do you still have old one? Are they of the same length?

If using all Toyota parts, both OEM 100 series serp belts work fine.

So either you're using one or more aftermarket parts.
Or.
You're not seating belt, in all pulley grooves properly. The crank & AC, are the hardest to see if belt in grooves. Good lighting is a must.

It is easier with air pipe and or #1 skid off. But doable with both on.

Yes I was trying to reinstall the old one. I also went a bought a new one to try that and they both are just so close but I cannot wrangle it on.
Ok cool and just to make sure wanted to establish this diagram
