U.S. investigates steering problems in 135,000 older Toyota SUVs

I know I've read of similar VSC problems on 100 series circa 2000-01 but can't find the source now, maybe another forum. It looks like 2001 was the first year for Sequoia and VSC may have been standard. It seems like 100s should be included in the investigation.

Here's the other thread I had read - LX470 VSC/ Slip Control Problem??? - Club Lexus Forums Left and right brakes applied randomly, swerving left and right - described as quite terrifying, sounds like it. Seems very similar to what the Sequoia is doing.

We had something similar in our 04 Sequoia which is want finally prompted me to sell it, wasn't wiling to take the risk or the possibility of an expense repair

Well I sent a copy of that LX thread to the NHTSA today - suggesting that they might want to include the LX in the VSC investigation. Not sure how much weight that carries as a non-complainant.

Does the LC have issues as well or just the lx and sequoia
