How does the O2 sensor attach to the converter in a 85-86 FJ60? I've had 3 trucks and all 3 were just 'sitting' in position by the tension of the wire lead for the sensor.

Is the original converter still in there? If it is not stock it could be a variety of ways or maybe no provisions at all.

OK- mine have all looked like that exactly; I guess the piece the O2 attaches to just rusted off the cat- making it able to "slide" in and out of the cat w/ out unbolting..Does that sound, to you, like what has happened? (All 3 trucks are of Northeast origin)
