FS: Bone Stock 1978 FJ-40

Im selling my 1978 FJ40. I bought it from the second owner. Has the stock 2F, 4 spd, and all the original stock equipment and emissions equipment too. Passes CA SMOG with flying colors. 103k miles. Everything works. Repainted once the original color (white) by the first owner. Runs great, all original, not cut, even has the original Toyota AM radio. Brand new 30x 9.5" BFG Mud Terrians. Needs nothing but a loving home. I'd rather not sell her to someone who wants to make an offroad rig and cut it all up...It's too nice. Im keeping my 1972 FJ40 as Ive spent way too much money fixing up the 72 before I found this one. Has the original Toyota rubber floor coverings and original Toyota tool bag/jack too. Vehicle was originally owned by a Doctor who lived in Palm Springs, now in San Juan Capistrano, CA. It is ready to drive anywhere. Asking 12.5k OBO. First to see it will buy her.

pics?

Sent you an e-mail.

I must be missing something here. Why post a statement saying to e-mail or call for additional pictures, just to say "I will post pics this weekend if the guy coming out Saturday doesnt buy it (if he shows up, he will...its that nice)" ?

There are potential out of state buyers like myself that would be willing to pull the trigger on the right Cruiser now, without seeing it in person. I inquired yesterday afternoon (the same day you posted) asking to see pictures. If it is as nice as you say, and I'm sure it is, then you are doing yourself a disservice by not posting pictures in a for sale thread, and then making any potential buyers cool their heels until after Saturday. No offense intended, but you are wasting peoples' time.

HAHAHA... Need a midol?

Chill-out dude... If hes motivated to sell it, he'll do what it takes.

It boils down to the fact I have a nasty cold, Im lazy, Im stuck at work, and I dont want to go out when I get home and take/post pics after a long days work. I'll do it this weekend. Im sorry If that upsets anybody.

Yeah, Yeah...No Midol needed, but thanks for the offer. Guess I'm just a little impatient in looking for another 40. I'm sure a fellow Cruiserhead can understand that. Been without one for a couple years and can't seem to shake the urge for another. Cut a fellow Texan a break would ya?

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm suprised you haven't found something local in that price range and condition. Are you using Craigshelper.com?

I see them in DFW/AUSTIN/HOUSTON all the time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never seen Craigshelper before. Pretty cool. Been looking some on Craigslist in Austin, S.A., Houston, and Dallas. Tan or White would be my first preference. Just missed out on the Tan '80 here a few days ago, which was a screaming deal and exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm sure one will come along here at some point. I'm being a little selective on the condition. I don't want another major restoration project as I'm about to begin one on a Triumph TR3 that was my father's and that isn't going to be a cheap proposition.
