I've decided to sell my 80 (only vehicle) & buy a new Tacoma.
-191,000
-Ome Heavy J springs, OME shocks, and caster bushings (about 500 miles ago)
-S/S brake lines
-New (1200? miles ago) BFG AT 285/75 16s
-AZ truck (no rust)
-Cloth interior in good shape
-Have CDL from Slee (not installed yet)
-I know all the owners of the 80 and it has been well taken care of
-Small dent above DS taillight needs to be pulled out in order to replace lens
-1" hole in roof (covered with 100mph tape) where PO had a CB ant.
-ABS light is on due to a stretched wire (I pulled on it while installing the rear springs) to the DS rear ABS sensor (part is about 150 from CD).
-The pics show it without the flares, I pulled them with the intention of filling the holes and re-painting the Cruiser (I still have them though)
-Runs great
-No leaks

-I have a 3 Yakima crossbars and 6 baskets that go with the truck

I'm located about 125 miles south of Phoenix in Ajo.

$6750.

Thanks

You will be sorry, Taco, is a big step down, unless you need a bed. Good luck with your sale! (will get moved to classifieds though)

Yup

Firetruck,
I'd love to keep the 80 but I sold an 02 taco a while back and have been needing a pickup ever since.
I traded my 76 FJ40 for my 80 and am convinced that the 80 is the finest 4wd ever.
But I can't afford a fleet right now so it's off to buy a taco 4dr TRD.
I'll buy another 80 down the road.
I didn't know where I should post this, I guess I'm off to the classifieds.
Thanks

i have a hard time believing a new tacoma is a big step down... unless you need a solid front axle.. good luck with the sell.

What, exactly, is wrong with the paint?

How flexy is your price? I want a lockered 80, so I have to factor retrofitting ARBs into my budget.

The paint on the roof is faded from 13 years of AZ sun.
The PO had a bug guard on the hood which scatched through the paint to the primer.
The clearcoat on the flares and misc. other spots is cracking.
I think this thing with an Aussie locker in the back would be virtually unstoppable.
I was thinking that an Aussie locker in the back, an ARB front bumper, and a Warn 10,000 lb. winch would cost about the same and work well down here.
Might be a different story up north though!
Make me an offer and we'll start there.
Take it easy,
