Sorry, but since parts are not available, I'm keeping them as back-ups.

A search in the 40/55 forum for "auto locking hubs" will yield lots of info.

Automatic Hubs

I also have "automatic" hubs. When I first purchased my '78 40 I thought the PO just had the hubs in the locked position. I went to cut off the center cap so I could get a few more mpg's but found no "dial". I am interested in learning more about these so any help would be great. I will get pics up soon.
