I noticed some new sediment in my PCV catch can. Normally it fills with black oil every ~2k miles. Should I look into this sediment further? It happened after the first rains of the year.

I get ~10cc of oil only every 1000 miles.
Well, I don't know, but I would be on RED ALERT about this, until proven innocent.
Looks like water / oil emulsion.
Suggest draining a bit out of the oil pan for inspection, and check dip-stick for milky stuff.
