I want to add an externally mounted gear box to my accessory shelf on my rear bumper swingout. Something like a Yete Loadout or Roam Rugged Case. I would like to be able to "lock" the box to the bumper swingout somehow to at least make theft more difficult. I could use a cable lock if there is something that isn't plastic on the box to loop it through. I've seen these type of storage boxes on roof racks but have never looked to see now they were secured to the rack.

I've also thought about a metal truck bed type box and "killing" the mounting nuts and bolts with tack welds.

Maybe try an Alubox like Equipt/Paul did with this 200?

I’m not sure but it’s an interesting idea, I may do the same if I don’t mount fuel on that swing out

Did they drill and bolt through the base of the box?
Looks like it.

I did find this super expensive way to secure your super expensive cooler.
