Secondary Click In Driver Door Lock/No Beep (2 Viewers)

2013, 105k miles

Strangely the door lock beep and light flash is no longer working. I also noticed that when I lock the doors with the fob or lock button, the actuator immediately gives off a secondary click. I was testing this from inside the vehicle and also noticed that after about a minute, the actuator clicks again on its own.

Anyone experienced this?

I’ve disconnected the negative terminal for a few minutes and reconnected to no avail. I’ve also manually cycled the lock back and forth from inside in case it was gummed up.

Next time you do it, check to make sure ALL of your doors actually lock

When i first got my truck, 2 of my lock actuators were bad, and wouldnt chirp when locked.

After replacing the actuators they lock and chirp

It was a frustrating process figuring out what was wrong

I’m too lazy to take apart the actuators and rebuild them. I just bought brand new Aisin assemblies
