Got a customer wanting me to order and install 2 adult buckets and 2 kids buckets in a trail ride, what are the preferences? If ya would tell me where they are available also......
Butch

PRP reclining buckets for the adults and the kids can use their normal ones.

Very nice seats..

If they are looking at brand new, then the Corbeau Baja RS suspesion are really nice. I've got two for the front of my 40 and will get two more for the back row.

I've got Corbeau Baja SS in the FJ40, PRP in the RZR...the PRP's are nicer quality...mine have a removable seat cushion too, nice when weather is questionable and you want a dry butt. Those are what I'll put in my next rig too.

I'd do a 36" bench for the kids... if they want a grey tweed Corbeau, I've got one in good shape to get rid of. The bench is nice since you 'could' short-trip with 2 dults in there and they won't hate you :)

I got corbeau baja xp's and they are by far the most comfortable suspension seats i've ever sat in

I just ordered a pair of prp's for the rebuild after sitting in some. Comfy as hell. Not sure about the corbeau seats but you can customize the prp's to fit which is nice if you're retardedly tall like me.

I have a set of Corbeau Baja RS. I am 6'4" 255 and they are comfortable. I wear a 4 point harness with them and it is a very comfortable match. I liked them so much I started selling them. I don't stock but I can have them drop shipped.

I ran them in an FJ Cruiser, added 2" risers and had plenty of head room left. Better sight lines over the hood.

Bench is not an option, he wants individual harness' for both kids......

Woody,

Can you post a pic of the corbeau Bajas in your 40...I am strongly considering getting a set.

I'm in the middle of installing some Corbeau Baja XRS's in my 40. Just have them mocked on plywood right now to check the fitment with a 10" Tuffy. It's tight... Here's the only pics worth sharing so far.

The original "plan" was to run a new tube from the rollbar B-Pillar to the A-Pillar that would somewhat match the profile of the lower seat cushion. The tube was to run between the seat cushion and the door. This was going to encourage myself and any passanger to "hop" in and out, rather than slide to help prolong the life of the seats. I think we all know how the cushions wear from exactly that, especially on tall vehicles.

However, once I got the mocked up layout in Dozer, this is what I found:

As you can see, there is almost zero room for any tube where I wanted it to go, so I suppose we are off to plan B - run the tube lower, just beneath and inside the profile of the seats. There will be two crossbars (1" tube) to accept the front and rear mounting points of both sets of sliders, front and rear. The front crossmember will bend in the middle, away from the firewall, to (hopefully) allow easy removal of the transmission tunnel.

Sorry to hijack, but curious of opinions of using 1" .065 walled DOM for the crosstubes to mount the sliders to??

i got corbeaus all the way around , a rear bench seat for the kids with each having seperate 4 point harness, love how the kids are together and it works flawlessly

I had some APC buckets in The Mule, they were crap. The sides broke off, the driver's seat back adjuster gears were plastic, and stripped on a steep downhill, and they were low enough that I would basically bury the T-case shift lever into my right knee.
I was glad to see those go.
