Was thinking about using this setup in my 72. Just looking for some ideas. I think that mount will work perfectly since I have that underneath tool kit holder.

I installed this seat frame in my 1970 FJ40 over my toolbox and it worked perfect for me. Great product.

I used old Nissan Sentra seats and reupholstered them with the similar material on the OEM seats so they look vintage and FJ40 ish

Finally got around to finishing the welding and installing the seats. It sits a little higher than the stock seats, but with the seat moved all the way back, there's enough clearance between the bottom on the steering wheel and my legs. Overall, very happy with the end results. Thanks again @cumminscruiser !

I installed this seat frame in my 1970 FJ40 over my toolbox and it worked perfect for me. Great product.

Were you able to maintain functionality of your toolbox or did you lose it? If you were able to keep it, did you have to modify sliders or purchase aftermarket ones, etc.

I have the kit on my 1970 FJ40 and kept the seat box. Because the frame is high, I can open the box enough to pull out the OEM bottle jack.
