If that is the shoulder harness in the photo, the driver of that rig is going to crush their spine in a rollover. The shoulder harness should be on a crossbar at shoulder level or slightly above to avoid spine compression in a roll.

Finally got the frame tack welded and the seat tabs and seats tacked in place... SWEET!
This is with an Aqualu aluminum tub by the way... frame feet will be added later to fine tune seat height. I might want to remove & shorten the extension that goes forward over the gas tank so it stays closer to the front of the tank cover... right now it is about 2" forward of the cover when it hits the floor..

glad this thread got bumped, the universe is aligned, I just started installing this in my 40 last night and was looking for more pics. From what I can gather the brackets do not use the stock fj40 threaded holes? Mine is a 72

Ok, I will give it a shot. What are your guys thoughts about Cool Cruiser bucket seats verses factory buckets? I have 2 small kids so I thought about going with cool cruiser seats and their rear bench seat. They are going on a 1972 fst fj40 frame off restoration.

Yes I did what "Indygbd" did, emailed him directly. Give him a couple of days to get back to you as he seems to be a busy man. Also, great to deal with!! As far as seats, I'd sit in as many as possible as they're a lot out there. I went with the Corbeau suspension seats. Good luck!
