Hey

I have a bench front seat in my Aussie 1980 troopy. CCOT has a seat conversion kit but it doesnt work with the bench style seats found in AU. I want to switch to buckets. I've been searching a bit on MUD but didnt see anything.

I'm not insanely skilled but I can do basic wrenching. Any ideas or tips? Not sure where to start. Can I cut apart my seats and use the base frames to bolt buckets to? Should I get frames fabbed to fit the existing bolt holes?

thanks in advance.

Late model fj40 seats, 79 to 83 bolt in, there are holes for buckets on both sides for lhd and Rhd markets. Only problem is late model seats are getting expensive!

Not all the holes are there to install the left side seat. The track on the front has the hole on the inside but no fixed nut. Back center hole is missing completely. No hole for seat belt catch. Holes for center console won't be there either.

Thats what I heard. I might figure out a way to cut up the seats I have now and use the existing lower frame. Its on the list. Wish there was a bolt in solution.
