Have questions on the seat belt in our 2000 LC.

1) Is there an adjustment/tightening procedure for the 100 series?
2) How to keep the seat belt buckle (the male end) from simply sliding to the floor? There doesn't seem to be a nubbin sewn into the belt material to prevent this from happening?
3) Is there an aftermarket seat-belt available?

1 - you can pull the assembly apart and "wind" it more
2 - there is a little dot that clips through both sides of the belt and holds the buckle in place, search for my posts, I had to replace mine not long ago
3 - not sure what an aftermarket seat belt will get you, you talking like a 4 point harness?

Very helpful, thanks!

As far as aftermarket, it just seems that there are 3rd party parts for many parts on these trucks, I'm surprised that seat-belts are exception. Basically, I'm trying to get out of paying $244 for a new OEM seat-belt, since all 6 of my belts need replacing.

1- there is no procedure for tightening the belts, as per Toyota the clock spring in the seatbelt assembly is one time use and can not be repaired. can you take it off and try, yes, but not recommended.
2- you can buy the stopper button from the dealer, its like 5 dollars or so for both sides.
3- not that im aware of but you could maybe try a seatbelt assembly from a truck in the part out section.

you can also try to have the seat belts rebuilt with these guys, I personally have no experience with then but other 80 guys have used them with good results Seat Belt Repair & Airbag Reset - Safety Restore

Got minerebuilt at a place called Safety Repair for 50 but I had a bad experience. Had to send back again and wasn't any better.

So I'd suggest going to salvage option. You can get one for 50 in Rancho Coronado CA. They guarantee their parts. Good guys, Google Toyota salvage there. Jusdt verify color. Also check car-parts.com for other places. Bookmark that page for the future.

I have all 6 if you need them
