This 1990 Toyota BJ75 Land Cruiser “Troopy” was imported in the raw from France 7 years ago. Upon arrival in Portland Oregon the transformation began into what many consider to be the ultimate “overlanding” platform. To that end, the Troopy has just returned from a 2.5 year trip from Oregon to Ushuai, Argentina. Given that I have two other Land Cruisers and a daily driver Jetta, it’s time to pass this more than capable truck to the next adventure seeker. The truck performed flawlessly on the Pan American highway with routine maintenance of oil, brake and tire replacement. Truly the word “bulletproof” describes its performance.

Features:
Toyota 1HD-T 4.2L straight-6 turbocharged direct injection diesel.
Toyota H151F 5 speed manual transmission.
Part Time 4wd Conversion kit.
Old Man Emu Dakar suspension.

GLWS.

@Tytanium will be very happy with the Sprinter sticker. 😂😂

This is the coolest machine I ever saw!
However, automotive metal is prone to corrosion. And this one is 35 years old. What has been done to fight rust?

Looks like they knocked the price down on FB Marketplace to 100k flat

Saw this truck in person last night. Very clean, needs nothing other than a new owner who wants to take it on its next adventure. The inside cabinets are in fantastic condition after 2 years of travel, no visible signs of wear. If I was in the market for a troopy thus would be my top choice in the US.

Yea, next adventure. Why didn't do right things from the beginning? A typical mistake people making, when they don't know what they are doing by replacing a very good old school 3B with the HD-T, which belongs to next generation of vehicles. Making the whole thing an unnatural hybrid. I am stunned with the amount of money /labor invested in to the wrong power plant. That wasn't smart at all...
Why they didn't put 12H-T in to that vehicle, which would be a great match and right thing to do?
This can be a next adventure for the new owner: swapping wrong HD-T for right 12H-T. This would make a truly incredible machine, not a funny hybrid.

930AM PST is a little too early in the morning to be drunk posting.

I had a dream recently: I saw the Land of Free where people were not fat and not stupid, moreover they were not arrogant and even being used car salesmen, they would respect other people comments without hurting themselves by exposing their inner deep hatred.
Cheers to everyone!

What?

This Troopy doesn’t have a NA 3B bud. In your mind he did it all wrong. Move along?

Cheers

Your argumentation is typical in the world of full time used car salesmen.

Paint someone blonde always works, right?

It is undeniable fact, that vehicles hybridization has its starting point, but it never ends, at least until the money fully vacuumed.
It is undeniable fact that heavily modified, hybrid vehicles have lower market value than stock vehicles.
Now, it is time to accept loss and move on. Or pass it to somebody else, like current owner does?

For many It is difficult to accept of being wrong and waste time and money. For the Land of Free dwellers? No, their are always right. They would happily pass their mistakes to the next "smart" rich individual while carefully avoid to touch their little sensitive zones. So, everything is cool and dandy? Not, so much.
This is going to be a perpetual project for anyone who would brave enough to take it on.

Why not telling truth to people? The answer is on the surface - inability to accept and handle that truth and of course insatiable greed.

Didn't know the 1HD-T was a hybrid that's cool.
