Looks good. I wish I can use one in my 94.
One thing I noticed, with the unit down low like that, it will be hard to read / use while driving. I have my 2m radio in the same spot and dislike the location. IMO, it needs to be up higher, like up by the mirror or above the steering column.
I just received my Scan Gauge II yesterday and decided to do my first write for any who are interested.
Scan Gauge II is fully OBD-II driven gauge/scan & reset engine code tool. fuel flow/MPG, etc... basically everything that your OBD-II does you can see here and then some.

Yes, a ScanGauge II will work in your 96' and it does have a temp gauge that reads accurately.
If you search, you will find loads of information to that effect.
Just FYI on this dead thread in case anyone searches later - the blendmount won't fit the factory mirror which is similar to the FJC mirror in the above link.
Off to figure out plan B...
