I have a FJ 40 with a "early" SBC still carburated......what WT. oil do they recommend for these motors? Im hearing different things from other people 10-30 20-50 i live in las vegas HOT in the summer should i go 20-50 Thanks in advance

any 10W-30 or 10W-40 should be fine. Thicker if it makes you happy, they're not picky.

I live in denver and gets fairly hot here in the summer and i run 10W-30. i used to run 10W-40 but now all my leaks are fixed so i dont need the extra weight. Either or.... does it leak much? if so i'd go with 10W-40, if not, 10W-30

Yup! front and rear main seals.

10-w40 is what i use.

Delo LE 15-40 if your still running a flat tappet cam . Has a zinc level of almost 1300 PPm, where most oils had there level lowwered ( EPA ) in 2007 because of cat converters pluging up. Good sticky on oil in the Performance section of Team Chevelle, with test data. Additives were also tested. HTH, Al
