Can I modify chev mounts or should I just spring for the AA ones? Trying to do it inexpensively, but right. Muchos gracias.

Depends on your welding skills and access to materials and equipment, I guess. They are pretty easy to fabricate.

you can pick up weld in mounts at the local hot rod shop for about $25
