TheMule and I drove from ABQ to just north of Las Vegas, NM and saved these two LV's from almost certain painful death.

TheMule will be transporting them back to SLC tomorrow to begin salvage operations.

It was a distinct pleasure helping in the cause of saving tradition and the beauty within these old gentle beasts.

Cheers.

Always makes me happy to see more of these Old Beasts saved!

Nice going. The blue one looks very good for it's age. Maybe a restore on the blue one and a gnarly SOA trail rig out of the orange one.

Really good of you guys to have done that!

Like TheMule needed any more cruisers! ;)

Mot

cool score for sure!!!!!

make sure you post the vins in the "fj45 registry" thread.

HaHa Mot! That's what I was thinking too! Either Kaleb has got way too much time on his hands, or he's gonna use the LV as a template to make some wicked cool 'MULE' accessories for the LV market.

Now there's a niche for ya Kaleb.

 Maybe my 45 will have a new wheeling buddy at Moab next year!

They are both 1964's. Both had V8's; orange one was rolled in an accident and will probably be used as the parts vehicle. The blue one will be restored.

Save travels back to SLC Mule...

Made it home... 12 hours on the road, 53' of misery behind me with some very nice history on board. Thanks for all of your hospitality, help and company on the adventure -o-!

More pictures to come...

Thanks for your support Mark, remember one can never have too many Cruisers! Did you get the sticks?

Looking forward to some more campfire guitar this year at CM!

I will be waiting for those to show up at your grandpas place so I can check em out!!! you always get the good stuff!!!

I was hoping Beno wouldn't initiate the 45s by rolling them on the way home, but looks like someone already beat him to it on the orange/white one :grinpimp:

glad to see a few oldies saved.

glad you made it home safely, if you venture back to ABQ you can sleep in our spare bedroom, you won't have to share a couch with Beno

and hurry up with the pics :D
