C'mon out... there is no reason to hesitate... just take an extra spot when you feel the need if you are worried about the rockers. Damage is avoidable, even on low blues at Rausch...

Molly and I will camp firday night weather permitting.

I'd say go for it. You're rig is more built than mine. I went with the "easy" group and had a blast. Only did minor damage to the running boards. Damage was easily fixed with a big boot.

hardly stock

Thats hardly what Id call a stock rig. Youll have a great time!

Was up at Yankee Toys Fall Gathering on Carnage Hill and was trying to get over this hump.

Didn't seem like that big a deal. But after reading about many other 100s with front diff failure, it seems a shock load will cause the thing to break.

I can only assume that I was giving it a bit too much right foot.

Fortunately, the missus was very cool about the whole situation, but man, that was an expensive lesson...

Macneill, what all did you have to go through to get a new/repaired tc and diff?

Thanks Macneill, but I was actually asking what all you went through to fix it? Any further damage found up the driveline?

Ahhhh... of course. Read that wrong. Work is distracting me from Mud.

I got towed out of the woods by a 40 to Keene Toyota in NH. They replaced the front diff (new) and t-case (used). I was 5 months out of warranty and though I pleaded with Toyota, they wouldn't cover it. Ouch.

When I went to pick the truck up, Keene Toyota explained that not until they took it for a road test did they discover the rear diff was squeaking, but not serious yet.

Drove the truck back to New York and Bayridge Toyota where I bought it new replaced the rear diff gratis. I just had to cover labor.

That was very nice of them.

Thanks Macneill, but I was actually asking what all you went through to fix it? Any further damage found up the driveline?

No sweat on the misread. Glad to hear that things were fixed so fast. Too bad about the tc bite. I wonder if the dealer you bought it from would have also helped out on a new tcase? Sounds like they might have.

Does the 100 have the atrac? I wondered if it had, would that have avoided the shock load pehaps...

Well, looks like I'm not gonna make it to this trip :frown:. I will be completely whacked out due to the strong influence of the local anesthesia the dentist will put me through on Friday the 18th. I had to go through the first phase last week and man I slept all through the weekend . This is the second phase. Anyway, Ya'll have a lot of fun and take a lot of pictures .

so how many are actually thinking of doing "greens"? I don't have sliders yet, hoping to get them end of may...so ill be chewing up the running boards again, yay! I'd be comfortable running anything as hard that we did last year at paragon. I don't wanna trash the truck though....it is my DAILY driver...hear that macneill?

If I run my FJC, I'll probably run Green/Blues if Gary leads. I've done a couple blacks in it, but now that I'm building a trail rig, I tend to wimp out. I don't want to break my DD.:D

I need to get into the woods..............................

This seems like the time of year he always reappears. I have a theory that he is actually a bear, and comes out of hibernation in the spring.:flipoff2:. You gonna come out and wheel Klunky?

HA!
Yea..... I've officially taken over my parents property here. (good news for future swap meets!)

However.... it's worse than a kid as far as taking up my time... (but Jeff has a kid and he's ALWAYS wheelin:confused: maybe I need a better comparison)
I'm also going to have to let a couple of the unused cruisers go so I can get into a tractor.... :crybaby:

And if anyone is wondering what all the stuff on the news about mortgages is about, I've got an appraised value of $250,000 free and clear that I owe nothing on..... and I'm having trouble finding someone to give me an $80,000 mortgage for work that needs done..... An no... my credit is good, it's the market that has gotten tighter, and my property is unique....

but I digress! yes, I've been absent from a lot of stuff lately, but am seriously going to try to get out for this because I need it!!!

Yes Jeff... the sooner we plan shirts the better. When is the Pig Run this year?

Sounds like a plan. I had lots of fun last year with you guys, would love to do it again. I'll be coming out the 19th for my annual offroad trip and then go back into my shell till next spring ;). Macneill, tell the guy with the white one to come again.

Is Rausch pretty rocky?

Just ordered my new distributor *Signal Generator* from C-dan..... $142!!!! ouch!

Guess I should have hooked it up right in the first place
This FJ60 Distributor thing has been kind of a PITA.... Fairly easy job, but with no direction, I've fumbled along with a bunch of re-do's and now I'm paying $142 to replace something I hooked up wrong on my $90 distributor........

Otherwise.... if all goes well, I'll have the 40 out on the 19th!

im out for camping

I wont be able to camp at RC on the 18th. but will be wheeling on the 19th and staying for the meeting! I got some new toys to play with. OBA and a rear axle skid!

I need to get into the woods..............................

Holy crap! I was just wondering where you've been. We were at the Black Horse for dinner and beers last Saturday night.

oh, yeah, I won't make the 19th. The 80's still 2WD right now and we have a birthday bash to go to for my niece and nephew.
