Wondering if anyone has run a Sanden compressor for an extended period for an OBA set up. I'm looking to outfit a few trucks with OBA and due to size restrictions can't run a york or chrysler so I've looked at the Sanden's. I found a couple air bag sites, mostly an S10 site, that mention running a oiler and filter to supply lubrication. Another method was running a greased compressor with plugged oil ports so that the air compression side of the compressor and crank case don't have a pathway to talk to each other. I'd like to do one better I think and run an oil sump instead of grease.
For compressor displacement they can be found approaching 10 cu in, same as a York. The numbers I ran said ~1.2CFM at 100psi per 1000rpm. up to about 6000rpm limit of the compressor.
Thanks,
