ok so i was playing around trying to figure out where/how exactly to get a 3rd row in my 60. by no means will this stay in all the time. just when i need to be able to carry up to 8 people.

so the seat i have is (i think) out of an excursion or expedition. could seat 3 skinny people or 2 adults. i was originally gunna put this seat in my sami so i stripped all the mounting hardwear off , but probly for the better. i figured the easiest set up is gunna be slid about as far back as possible and facing forward.

i think i can do a pretty simple hinge set up in the front and use the samurai mounting hardwear in the back. i found some of my old sami parts so im trying to make this as simple as possible on my self.

obsticles: the gas tank...... i think i can make a xmember basically for the front mount and attach the hinges to that. the feet will be attached to the floor behiind the rear body mount. the rear i hafta see if i can scavenge the "claw" that is the rear latch for the sami seat (don't have that any more just the floor mount)

any thoughts suggestions warnings?

don't worry ill take lost of pics for those interested.

also any thoughts on seat belts? i checked out the stock mounts for the back seat and am kinda thinken something like that might not be to hard to fabricate. just gotta find some seatbelts and im in bizz.

also the seat is about 12" skinnier than the rear cargo area, my thoughts were an attached storage set up one small one per side(ammo cans or something like that and attach cup holders)
or push the seat all the way to one side
or get a wider seat.

no one has any thoughts?

my thoughts......, buy my factory third row seats that I have for sale in the classifieds. :D

:flipoff2: wheres the link? you sure don't self promote very well.

He's not too far away as well. His seats would be your best bet and look factoryish.

Ide like to see some pics of the installation and when its done if thats possible. :D
Thanks
