my first Landcruiser was red/maroon, loved that thing!

All that black on red looks completely awesome, so...what's with the little chrome door guards? Your rig is almost perfect! ;)

somewhat off topic, but those chrome door guards... are they easily removed? No holes behind them?... I just recently picked up a 2014 that has those awful looking things and a local detailer said there are likely holes behind them...

I am new here and have searched... but thought you might have a easy quick repl

I saw a set on CL not too long ago, I believe they are held on with VHB tape or similar. Maybe there's a market for them secondhand?

if they are in fact taped on like I suspect- a day in the Texas sun (or a heat gun) and some dental floss should make quick work of the bond.

I agree with you... I think they are just taped on
I am trying to figure out definitively if that is the case as I do not want to start the process of pulling them off only to find there are mounting holes in the body work behind it... car is going to the dealer tomorrow... I will ask them as well.

Dealer says they are held on with body clips meaning there are holes in the body work... hmmm

Bringing this thread back to life for your thoughts on a wheel combo.

I sold my OEM wheels when I bought my Methods. Then I decided to invest in snow tires. Yeah, wish I kept the OEMs now - but bygones!

Picked up five tundra trds from Craigslist, but not sure the best combo.

1) NRG on Methods and Nokian’s on TRDs, or
2) NRG on TRDs and Nokian’s on Methods

summer vs winter

What say you mudders?

Hey buddy, my vote is option 1, assuming the Nokians are your winter tire. The Methods should be on the rig most of the year.

Fishbowl & Salsa Red!

I drove a blueberry 80 for a decade and grew attached to the color. Salsa wasn't my first choice but mileage and service records fit my requirements for this one 10 years ago and I've grown to appreciate it and I don't ever plan to get rid of it. I do keep my eyes's peeled and would add a blueberry 200 to the stable without hesitation.
