Anyone in the Raleigh area done a Sag. conversion? If so, would you be willing to "help a brotha' out" in the not so distant future? I am hoping to start the project in July and I will be getting my parts together over the next few weeks.

Track down Trollhole on the UC board. He did a helluva job with a Saginaw on his 40 and would be a good resource.

It is possible for me to make a trip up there but. I can probably talk you through the whole thing with pics. Its not super hard as long as you have the right parts and tools.

Hardest part is taking the crap on and off a million times to make sure everything is perfect.

You can call me

Marshall 864-414-0563 if you have any questions.

I ended up using Kurts (cruiseroutfitters) PS kit and Iron Pigs PS pump bracket and pulley. Made things a lot easier.

Thanks for the compliment Andy.

Thanks Trollhole.

How about this....Is anyone in the area that has done the conversion that I can look at for a reference. I will come to your house - no effort required on your part.

Thanks

I have one here in Apex if you want to look

I just completed a conversion in march. I used Bill Dorry's brackets, Bill lives in Cary so he delivered the brackets to my home and offered advice. He was very helpful. I live near Crabtree mall if you'd like to see the cruiser. you can email me @ rwathern@wescodist.com.

Thanks Rick. Flitcroft96 was kind enough to have me over and showed me alot of help (thanks man!) and now I am just going to be putting the parts together over the next couple of months.

I am kinda' hoping I can be a candidate for the HAMOM sometime this summer and get some help. An extra pair of hands can be a godsend and maybe someone who can weld better than me can make it! I'm not real sure my mig skills are up to steering component levels, if you know what I mean.

I'm going to look into Bill's stuff and maybe use his gear mounting plate and pump brackets.
