Anyone able to run the VIN? JT3HJ85J2V0177144 according to a photo on the add. I'd love to know more...haven't asked the seller if they have any records, etc. I did ask if he knew where the original wheels are. No answer yet. I wonder where the third row seats are?

You know, I went and looked at it (just out of curiosity in case someone out of town was interested) and I think the damn thing is going to come home with me, ugly wheels and all. Running VIN tonight just to be thorough, but I guess I need to see if there's a counseling group for LC owners who can't stop impulse purchases...

@ace10 I saw the Carfax said an accident on 8/18/2004 and damage reported to front on 6/3/16, but not much information about it. Were you able to see more information? I don't mind issues like these, as long as I know the extent of damage, where it occurred and that it was fixed appropriately. I'm now a bit more cautious with this vehicle. Where are ALL the VIN plates on our FZJ80's so I can check each and every one of them? Anything else I should look at more closely? I thought the badges looked ok, what looks off to you? Thanks in advance!!

Rear badges :

"FullTime 4WD" badge on lower hatch is missing
Sombrero badge should be black pearl.
Trim strip above the license plate should be Black pearl, though it might just be faded.

No pics of front end, but the grill is likely incorrect, as well.

Great eye! The front was black pearl but the back was off. Must have been in the accident. One door panel had been repainted and the front bumper too. I really wanted to buy it but had to pass. Oh, vin number on frame was correct too.
