Has anyone fixed this Safety Connect issue that LCs have? Mine doesn't connect and every time I turn the truck on a nice lady comes over the speaker system telling me that she can't connect to the satellite and I need to contact my dealership. The dealership said they can't fix it right now and Toyota is trying to figure out a work around.

We just purchased the LC this past weekend....a 2018 year model.

The dealership also gave me this link to read.

Just for grins pull the pos. Cable on the battery for an hour or so let it "reboot".
See if that does anything.

Mine has turned on a red light and says unavailable. 2009 lx570. I need to find the fuse and pull it.

Yeah, I've tried disconnecting the battery with no luck. Haven't looked for a fuse yet, but I imagine that the fuse controls more than the safety connect. I just want the voice command to go away.

Drop the panel and unplug the speaker.

It should be divorced from any other system on the truck so you should not receive any spurious errors.

2009 LX570. The 'Telephone ECU Assembly' (part of 'Lexus Link') does not have a separate fuse.
It is located in the back of the center console, behind the rear climate controls.
It can be disconnected, the bracket removed, the Mayday battery disconnected, and that bracket removed. The Mayday kit is connected to several other ECUs, so this may result in even more errors and possibly a dash fault code, someone will have to try it to see.

Going to give this a try. Thanks!

I do want to install some extra charging ports in this area so I'll see if the LC's have the same fuse. Probably wont do this for another few weeks tho.
