yup, but the design would still be lacking... were it a 1" plate then no washers would be necessary at all. Much better... :D


(then again, of course, it all depends on the size of the shackle... :mad: ) :D :D










btw, Jim, why did you feel the need to swap license plates in the middle of a bog?

I have mine made this way. I think using the washers to "align" the clevis looks, "redneck engineered" at best.

That's a brilliant idea. I wonder why ARB and the people who sell shackles have not come up with it.

Can't get nothing by you guys.

The first pic was early into the 2001 Alaska Cruiser Trek. The second pic was after a few days in the bush. In between, I found time to mount my souvenir Alaska license plate (zip tied over the California plate). I also zipped tied the caribou antlers onto the bullbar.
