So I have a set of RW's that I was going to have the ring Powder coated black on as I like that look. Then I was saw TRD Pros mounted on a Black 200 and really liked the look. I am not thinking 7lb per wheel is significant given the full scope of a 200, other than the increase strength and 7lb is there a complelling reason to stick with the RW's?

If my memory is correct, the RW's are 17" and the TRD Pros are 18". So that could be a reason.

I have a set of 5 and I plan to PC them gloss black .
I do like my 2016+ wheels as well. The TRD Pro wheels a very nice too.
1st world problems. Hahahahaha
Good luck

Correct on the 17" and 18" but I don't wheel hard so there might be a little advantage to the 18's.

I would have to by tires for both :(,

It’s all a matter of degree.
Ya, 7lbs lighter per corner of unsprung, rotation weight will make a difference, but it’s not life and death. Ya, an extra half-inch of pinch-cut leeway when aired way down over sharp rocks is better...and ya, more spread/footprint potential when severely aired down is better with taller sidewalls.

All incremental stuff only you can personally prioritize.

An aside—My RWs are chewed up and ugly now...
...but exactly zero ppl have said, “You’d have a nice Cruiser...if only your wheels weren’t so beat up!” 😬

Hey Mark - you know I've been meaning to tell you... :hillbilly:

Haha...

Ya ya... Get em dirty enough though, and they all look just like new! :steer: :hillbilly:

I thought there was some misinformation on the weight of TRD Pros.. Supposedly they are actually much lighter than the common info available here was suggesting. Like actually similar to rock warrior weight

I feel like I've looked this up three times already.. here I go again.

I have never seen any wheel of comparable strength touch the RW for low weight.

If a manufacturer finally does...the rush to RE will finally be eased.

Found it. 27# for a TRD Pro. I suspect the 31# post may have been inaccurate as it was on a bathroom scale with a much greater range of measurement and possibly lower quality?

I can't speak to how strong they are compared to rock warriors but they came on a Tundra so they likely aren't trash..

One more point though. The 50mm offset of a RW looks better than the 60 of a stock or TRD Pro wheel, IMO. I also like the more significant sidewall bulge of the 17" tires vs 18, on my cruiser.

Edit: also, rock warriors will be MUCH better at avoiding significant damage to the wheel if you get into the rocks much.

Not having either of these wheels I think one of them realllllly looks good and the other is so common they only look OK

Not going to say which is which though.

My $0.02; the RW’s look great on the 200. It’s like they were made for this truck. They look better on the 200 than they do on the Tundra.

I don’t know...the stock ‘16+ wheels wrapped in 34s look pretty damn good to me!!

A KC dealer has been offering new take offs on CL: $1000 for 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD OFFROAD. Tires are 275/65R18 Michelin LTX A/T 2 vs. $800 for 2018 Land Cruiser w/Dunlops (which are up on CL much longer than Tundra's).

I have the black trd pro wheels on my 16. Been having it for a few years now. I tried several attempts at getting the rock warriors on but the lady says no since she love the black wheels. Gotta keep her happy I guess.. haha

I originally wanted the TRD Pro wheels when I bought my LC. Markuson convinced me not to get them and get RW instead. He was soo right and I am soo happy with the Rock Warriors! Not to be disrespectful but the black wheels on black car thing is soo 1990s.

The Nitto Grapplers look really nice. I like my KO2s but sometimes wish I could go faster in them. Personally I am noticing they feel better over aired to 46-48psi (I am still testing).

@Markuson I know you can live with scratched wheels/bumpers but scratches on my RW would bother the crap out of me on my 200. Hopefully you find another set. I saw you are selling the 35s. If you ever pass through Chicago I might be interested for my 100 if they fit. The one thing I like about my 100 is how it drives at higher speeds. I am blaming tires right now but there is something else between 100 vs 200 that makes the 100 slightly more enjoyable to drive from time to time (I hate how cramped it feels and the smaller chairs). I can't imagine 1/2" wider wheelbase making that much difference but the 100 feels soo nimble.

Ya, I keep procrastinating on putting my 35’s up for sale. They are actually pretty new...like really nice condition...with only about 4 - 5k miles on them because Nitto replaced my originals.

About RWs and not minding scrapes...It’s not that I don’t care....just that I tend to scratch them up pretty badly on trails. So...ya, I could get a super nice set...but I’d scratch them up anyway.

I just put those rock warriors on my 2011 tundra with 315/70r17. No kdss to worry about so they fit perfectly with 6112 and coach builder shims.
