Planning on doing a very messy rustproofing job soon. My 45 from AU has ZERO rust on it and the Massachusetts roads will be unforgiving even if I drive it only occasionally on salty roads.
I'm planning on doing auto transmission fluid through a pump sprayer for underneath and inside the frame rails. To catch the drips I'm going to put a tarp under it with cat litter to absorb the puddles.
Is there a better way? I don't forsee any frame welding to be done anytime soon which is good. Rubberized undercoating is too expensive and can be worse if done wrong.
Any input would be great as we had our first flakes this weekend!!!

(I looked in the FAQ section and also searched "rustproofing" on this forum and found nothing.)
